Split

We just watched SPLIT for our housemates outing this morning (yeah. I repeat, MORNING.) and since it has been quite a long time since I last posted anything under the label movies, I feel like doing so.

Unlike the typical thriller I like to watch, this one doesn't really have a lot of suspense. I'm not sure if they fail to incorporate such important element or they just prefer to deliver it that way. Still, I expected it to be better.

It was a bout a character who has a mental division of DID and each of them tried to take control of the real body.

The beginning was quite slow (the storyline was built up rather slowly) and the cinematography was not the best of the best despite of the great team working behind this. However, James McAvoy did a great job in saving all of those drawbacks.

Not highly recommended but you can watch it for leisure. 6/10 .

My thoughts on Dangal

I have seen a lot of good reviews on my Facebook about this movie and yesterday, Kiki told us that she just watched it and it was good.

So last night, we went out to watch this.

Two seats left, just below the screen. Bought Shihlin, so we had no choice but to accept whatever was left for us. I didn't wanna eat my Shihlin outside the cinema. It would be disrespectful to it.

Basically, it's a movie about wrestlers. Based on true story but I'm not sure which part was depicted exactly like their lives and which part was not. Overall, it was good.  8/10 from me.

The best thing about it was, it's not about the mushy lovey dovey kinda movie and it managed to touch our heart. I'm sure most of us can relate to this as it is narrated based on her father's dream. Every father wants the best from their child.

Another important message being evoked is how important it is for woman to take charge and beat the stigma of the society. Being said this, Geeta and Babita learning how to wrestle was the turning point of this. They were objected by the society of course *rolling my eyes* but I like how this movie told the girls out there that they can be anything. Just anything.
They're not entitled to get married and be in the kitchen and give birth only. They have more things to do, as much as the guys do.

The rebels in nurturing two girls are normal and Amir Khan did a great job in depicting a love of an egoistic father. I learned that he has to gain weight just for this movie. Must be fun for him. Getting paid for gaining weight. How I envy him.

Their videography for the matches they had are awesome too ! In fact, I love those takes on how she smashed them boys. A.ma.zing.

So yeah. That's what I thought about this movie. Would recommend you to watch it :)

life saver

A few days ago, I learned that you can filter the 123 movies. Like you can select what kind of movies do you want. Thanks to this, it's easier to select nice movies these days. Well, no one have the time to read the reviews, don't we ?

I usually select the genre and the country first before sorting them. Preferably most favourite or most rating because that's where the good ones would come from.

Why did I just realised that they have such thing in there ?

I have a lot of pages where I usually browse my movies , http://www.fmovies.me/ ,  https://fmovies.se/https://123movies.is/http://www.megashare.su/ ,  http://movienightlife.co/ but so far, only this one has this feature to filter. Only, the streaming is quite slow. But it's okay. You can search for the suggested movies in another web. At least, picking up movies won't be so hard now, right ?

My thoughts on The Age of Adaline

First of all, let us give a hats off to the incredible main actor of this movie, Blake Lively. I have admired her since forever. She's so demure, and elegant, and classy, and the list goes on...

I don't like to be the person who spills out everything out of the movie because I want you guys to enjoy it the way I did too; not knowing a thing and just follow the flow.

Sometimes I just browse the movies and just skip watching the trailer because it is more exciting not to. Haha. So I'll try my best not to spoil anything.

Basically, it's about a woman who lived for 109 years. I would rate it 6/10 . That's it. Not gonna tell more.

From the movie, I personally believe that the element of fantasy is engraved through the narrator's voice. Not bad but the explanation was quite lengthy since they have to cram a few infos there. Well, I honestly like science-y stuff but in my POV, I think that kind of voice didn't really go well with the whole explaining things coz it reminds me more of a children's movies ; like Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Something like that.

Other than that, I LOVE the fact that Adaline took her time to learn a few languages #truegoals. If I have the time, mastering at least 7 languages is kinda my dream. And of course, I would love love love to learn braille and sign language. We should have more awareness about this and if it's not too much, sign language should be taught at school. Like how you learned 'Sivik' or 'Pendidkan Jasmani', isn't it ? These special people are no different than us and they should be treated as one too. I am sure there are a lot more things can be done but it's okay. It's a progressive world. We will be there soon.

Michiel Huisman is handsome too. The beard. And the glimpse of his happy trail. *controlling hard not to sound like a perv.
And the fact that he's a philanthropist was nice ,,,, but ,,, wouldn't it make him TOO perfect ? Since he first met Adaline till the end, he didn't screw a thing. Pftt. Romcoms. Feeding women with so much false hope.

I think that's most of it. Not highly recommended and not saying it is too bad but meh. In between. Above average.

You guys should watch it too

Last night I couldn't sleep and was constantly questioning my state of mind. I mean, after watching Stonehearst Asylum , I'm sure everyone feels the same way.
It was greatly done and I would rate it as 8/10.

Watched it with my other two girls with lights off and I seriously didn't have a clue about what the story was about.
We were wondering on what to watch and Mayra just popped out "Stonehearst Asylum best." and we're like, "Okay. We'll watch it tonight."

And so we did.
It was not horror.

But it was good.
Just my kinda genre.

Basically, the story is about an asylum and a Dr. went there for his kinda intern thing. I don't wanna spoil anything , so if you're planning to watch, don't even read the descriptions and the trailer. Just watch. I watched the trailer afterwards. So many spoilers.

Trust me and just watch it. Well, if you're in the same boat as my genre (thriller but not horror haha) , you will love this movie.  Byeee.

Sherlock series bbc

Hold your breath dear friends for I have an important announcement to be made.

I have finally finished watching Sherlock !

Okay. Done. You can breathe like a normal human being now. lol. People who know me are aware that I can't really handle blood  T_T  and when EVERYONE has been watching Game of Thrones , I can only sit on my bed and try to be as invisible as ever. Haha.

So last week, Rhys passed us Sherlock series, cheerfully reminding us to watch it because it is "Seriously best !" and according to her also, "there's no blood scene". Yayers for me :p

In contrast , Nana's replied on whatsapp was , "boring. Not challenging enough for me. Meh."

And hence, I tried watching one episode. Well for a start, it's just an 'okay' series. The plots get better in Season 2, I promise you :*

There's not much of emotion or drama but it can simply intrigue your interest through the plots. All the crime-solving scenes will surprise you with waves of thrills.

Sherlock is an adaptation from the classic Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle , only they urbanized it (with London background and all those fancy hi-tech stuffs).
And the most important thing, Bennedict Cumberbatch portrays as Sherlock ! *squeals and faints (although after 2 episodes, I think Colin Firth will illustrate the character better, it's okay Cumberbatch. I still love you.) He is witty and cheeky and definitely a thinker (dude, I just loooove thinkers!).  And oh, he has a friend, Dr. Watson. I don't know why but it would be great if Jude Law is playing as Dr. Watson, like the one in the movie. I mean, he can be as awkward as Martin Freeman , so why not. Haha.
They met in the first episode, quickly became housemates and started their journey to solve murders and crimes together. Dr. Watson has this one blog and seriously, it is available on the web.
http://www.johnwatsonblog.co.uk/ okay you can only understand if you watch haha.

For the time being, I'm quite exasperated as the next season will be released in two years . Two years ! How long is that. -_-. Both Cumberbatch and Freeman are booming actors, so their schedules are quite packed until next year. So yeah, we gotta wait...

And by the way, my favourite characters are Jim Moriarty (by Andrew Scott) and Irene Adler (by Lara Pulver). Both are extremely talented actors ! I learned a lot about facial expressions from both of them T_T
